SURE MAKRO TRAVEL COMPANY INFO:
Introduction
In order to render all our prospective and new clients an insight as to
who Sure Makro Travel is and what role it plays in the travel arena, this document
outlines all the services it provides and delivers to it’s valued clients both corporate
and leisure.
Makro Travel is an independent travel agency, which has been in operation since
1975. It is a fully bonded and accredited travel agency with the International Air
Travel Association (IATA) and the association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA).
With an experienced and highly dedicated staff compliment of 25, it operates from
it’s own offices which are located in the fast developing business district of Strubensvalley,
Roodepoort, Sure Makro Travel is able to offer it’s valued client base, a comprehensive “one-stop travel shop” philosophy which includes corporate/business travel management, leisure travel, sports tours (Makro Sport Travel), religious and common interest
group tours as well as corporate specialist incentive, conference and meeting planning
services. We also entertain custom-designed agricultural tours (Agri Travel). Sure Makro Travel serves both the local, outbound and inbound travel markets with the
services which are outlined hereunder in some detail under separate headings.
The company is “owner-managed” on a full time basis by the two directors, Jannie
du Plessis (Managing Director) and Chris Beukes(Director) each who
have
in excess of 35 years experience in the travel industry having commenced their
respective travel careers with South African Airways.
In compliance with it’s commitment
to the procurement of ways to improve services
and offer the best range of products at all times, on the 1 April 2001, Makro Travel,
joined the Sure Travel Group thus now being named Sure Makro Travel
but remaining
and operating as an independent travel business.
The Sure Travel Group, which comprises of some 140 odd individually owned travel
centers/agencies, is the largest network of independent Travel Agencies in Southern
Africa providing the corporate and leisure travel markets with specially negotiated rates as a direct result of it’s national and global buying power. All members of
the group, offer exceptionally high standards of personal service, are entirely
focused in identifying and
understanding the clients’ needs and work together as
a network to provide all its customers with a totally managed travel solution.
